A Fresh Start

I’m back! And oh so ready for a fresh start.

Well myself, the hubby and the cat to be exact. Yes even the cat.

We just moved into our new apartment and are getting acquainted with our new surroundings. Going from owning your own place to going back to renting can be a bit of an adjustment. More so because of the restrictions involved. We have left our first home behind as a result of a slumping real estate market, and an ever so persistent bad economy. It was kind of weird leaving our first place together, only because I felt like we had so much left to do (I tweeted this recently). I felt like we left it… incomplete.

But at the same time we were so ready to leave and begin the new year fresh. With a little more life lessons learned under our belt, a positive outlook, and never looking back with regret. It was time.

I apologize for my absence (I know I tend to do this from time to time), but I have to tell ya, December was brutal. Besides work being so beastly (not sure what was up this holiday season, but customers were just plain mean this year!), my grandmother passed away a day before Christmas Eve. With us moving on top of all of this, I was completely wiped out. And a bit bummed out.

In any case, I just picked up this obnoxiously adorable sweatshirt  today in the Mission at Density. I shrilled with excitement when I saw it hanging up in the store. Will hates when I do that. They asked if I wanted a bag, and I said,  “Nope. I’m putting it on right now.”

Will and I call Mochi our little panda all the time. So I had to have the sweatshirt. No hesitation there.

Today we accomplished a lot off our “To-Do” list. Purchased a couch, picked-up a microwave & shredder, and dropped off our ever growing donation pile at Goodwill.

And now it’s time to go and celebrate!
