So today is my birthday, and it literally ends in less than a few minutes, but thought I’d just post this quick outfit I wore today, on my day of birth.
I kept it simple, wanted to sleep in, and did. Until noon to be exact, and enjoyed it thoroughly, until that is I scurried myself to the bathroom and found myself without any toilet paper. And just a few moments later, as I poured myself a cup of coffee, added the cream, little white curdles started to develop. Lovely. And just a few moments after that I realized my car was parked on the wrong side of the street. I literally had seconds until the clock struck 12:30 for our weekly street cleaning. Thank goodness there was a spot available just across the way.
But all of that didn’t even compare to all the sweet birthday wishes I received from friends and family today. Totally made my day. I’m a pretty lucky girl I’d have to say.
Spent the rest of the day in the city, checked out a few of my favorite shopping spots and got a few things. A pair of pants from Zara, a sweater from Anthro, and a few lipsticks from MAC. Finally got my hands on my “Insanely It” color, that has been sold out at my local MAC store for weeks! Purchased the last one at Bloomys! Yes!
Btw, did you see my tweet a few days ago? Remember when I mentioned I received a pretty “sweet email”, and that I would share the news when I could? Well that email came via Lulu Frost, and they posted my look from this post, as their “Look of the Week” on their blog.
I know it may not seem like a big deal to some of you, and most definitely not to those fashion bloggers who have had these types of opportunities happen to them triple times over, but for me, this was the first time I’ve ever had anything like this, and felt absolutely honored and excited.
Lulu Frost is one of my absolute favorite jewelry lines, and have always coveted a few of their pieces every season. I totally stalk certain ones until they go on sale, because honestly that is the only way I can afford one of their amazing creations.
Will surprised me on the same day that my Lulu Fost post came out, with a pair of Cole Haan Alisa oxfords that I have been obsessed with. The moment I saw them, and learned they had the Nike Air soles, I knew they would make the perfect pair of shoes for work. They are the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever owned, and this whole week I’ve been trying to come up with outfits totally built around these amazing shoes. Seriously.
Tomorrow will be the real day of celebration, getting together with a few of my friends to celebrate at a local wine bar. Just hoping for a really fun and relaxing time with a few of my favorite people.
