Feeling Super Hero-ish

As you probably can tell from this first photo, I had my pixel setting on my camera set wrong, again. Which is why I decided to do two photos in one, just so it was wide enough. But I have since corrected it. Thank goodness.

Got to attend and participate in a fun work-related activity earlier this evening in the city, but unfortunately am not allowed to share, so I’ll have to change subject.

Hmm…let me think….

Well my new royal blue blouse, I am completely in love with! I feel a bit “super hero-ish” in it, because of the extremely long hem in the back. It’s like a cape! I love tops with the high/low hem (business in the front, party in the back), but this one takes it to a whole other level.

And the color?! To die. It is just the right pop of boldness that I needed for my outfit. Not to mention it goes with my new clutch perfectly.

Oh, and I tried out my new curling iron today, was really looking forward to blowing out my hair and creating large beachy waves, but found the barrel is about 2x as small as my old curling iron, so it totally gave me tight Shirley Temple-esque curls. Not really a good look. So I ended up pulling all my hair in a side swept ponytail.

Not what I planned, but it worked.

Getting into the whole delicate jewelry trend that is happening right now. “Less is more”, as someone once said, but that was never the case for me. It was always, the bolder, the better. And the more the better! But I am obsessed with my new Gorjana “Super Star” necklace. One, because I’m crazy for stars at the moment. Two, it has just the right amount of sparkle when it catches the eye. And three, it’s the perfect little layering piece. I can totally add one, or a few of my favorite longer and bolder necklaces with it.

And as much as I’d love to, I can’t seem to get into the more dainty and delicate rings. I feel like my fingers are just too chubby for them. But I’m thinking of experimenting a bit, and layering them with my bolder, chunkier rings.
