Feels like Fall

It has finally started to feel like Fall around here in the Bay, and I couldn’t be happier! Fall is my absolute favorite season, especially for fashion. ;)

We discovered the Berkeley Rose Garden a while back, and remembered it again this past weekend. We decided to take advantage of a free day with nothing to do to take a few shots. Our intention was to try and time it exactly when the sun started to set, because it has the most stunning sunset views from there. Fortunately we got there just in time for the sunset, but unfortunately we lost good light for photos very quickly.

We didn’t get as good of shots as we had liked (or expected), but it was the effort that counted right? I mean, we are a bit rusty at doing this now. It’s been so long that I can’t even remember the last time I was in front of the camera?! I felt so awkward, and had no idea what to do with myself, not to mention all the people that were around too.

I’ve always felt self-conscious about that. That will probably never change.

But the weather was beautiful, and earlier in the day we had brunch together at one of our favorite local cafes, stopped by to visit a friend to congratulate her on her recent engagement, and overall just took it easy.

It was nice.

Loving the fact that this little slice of heaven is just minutes away.
